Motion Capture Facility Relocation – Burgess Hill to Horsham

Overview

CBS completed a full relocation and fit out for a specialist motion capture company, moving their technical facility from Burgess Hill to a new site in Horsham. The project required careful planning, precise installation and a complete rebuild of their controlled filming environment.

Client Requirements

Relocate the entire motion capture facility to a new building
Convert a old office into a controlled capture space
Replace outdated lighting and electrical systems
Install new fire rated partitioning to ensure safety and compliance
Maintain the performance environment the client relied on
Complete works with minimal downtime to the production schedule

Our Solution

Removal of existing glass partitioning from the previous fit out
Installation of new fully fire rated partitioning with fire rated doors
Upgraded electrical systems including new power runs and containment
Installation of modern LED lighting panels to replace old halogen units
New data points run across the floor for enhanced connectivity and system control
Careful reuse of specialist blackout curtains from the previous site to protect cameras from sunlight and maintain consistency for the client
Complete internal decoration and finishing works
